Area Councils are an integral part of the Movement’s governance structure and provide board members a platform to initiate and review ideas, suggestions, and proposals for National Council consideration. Each local Boys & Girls Club organization appoints a board member who represents the local Club by providing feedback on important strategic issues, and ensures that their Club reviews, discusses and adopts a formal position on issues of Boys & Girls Clubs of America governance. Each session will be a live, interactive virtual experience. Appropriate for new Area Council Liaisons or those wanting a refresher.
