Establishing Affordable Dues and Fees Standards for Local Clubs?

Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the Movement have worked extremely hard to build our brand and establish how we are different from other nonprofits, and a major part of that is our truly “affordable to all” membership fees.  Our cause is appealing to funders due to this approach, as we are able to raise funds in great part because fees are low, serving the kids that “need us most”.  Additionally states or areas have faced unwanted licensing issues because of escalated membership fees. To insure a dynamic future for this great Movement, it is critical that our organizations throughout the nation continue their vigilance on keeping Membership Dues and Program Fees low.  To do otherwise will risk the loss of the “heart and soul” of what has made the difference in millions of lives.

Should we as a federation consider a new national requirement for membership in BGCA a  standard to  guide affordable dues and fees insuring our mission and accessibility for all youth without distinction or obstacle?
